i promise, i care.
Performance Art and Photography
2020
i promise, i care is a performative series of images. This work consists of Putri doing certain actions to her family members; her brother, grandmother and mother. During the circuit breaker due to COVID-19, Putri had to stay at home with her family members which is unusual for her since she was always barely homed. Working with the theme 'domesticity', Putri thought of how distant she was with her family and the lack of love and care in the family. Hence, she took the opportunity to interact with her family members as a way to show that she still cares for them no matter how distant they've become.

Separated yet Inseparable.
Photography, Art cards, Pen
2021
'Separated yet Inseparable' is an installation that involves 13 cubes with images printed on them. The images depicts Putri and her partner embracing one another.
The project is to focus and explore on how the pandemic affected their relationship. It is to show at how even though we may be separated by something, we’re never inseparable by being affectionate towards one another without us actually touching each other, skin to skin. No matter how bad people want to physically be affectionate towards one another and to maintain their relationship, we still need to care for our health and safety in the context of the pandemic.

Why, Sayang?
Performance
2021
Why, Sayang? is a collaborative performance by Putri Erina and Ng Jasmine. The performance studies and explores ways to be intimate with each other in the absence of touch. It looks deeper into the tension within the relationship between two people and the self. The non-existing or existing fear, paranoia and how it affects the trust. All is made more evident and manifest by the inability to be physically close, as physical distance comes with an emotional distance that we might not be aware of.

thank you, goodbye
2022, Installation
‘thank you, goodbye’ is an installation of an unidentified object created by overlapping 40 personal items which reflect traumatic and painful memories. A book is also shown; photographs of the items and the memory behind each of it. As for the process, the items are overlapped from the most significant to the least significant, resulting in a huge unidentified object. The most significant items are hidden to conceal their identity and the memory behind them as a form of letting go in a feminine way. Each item is connected with a white thread, indicating that the items are bound to be tied together as a form of imprisonment.
The idea of this work was to explore the connection between Putri and her emotional mind when letting go of the traumatic memory behind each item; at the same time, taking it as form of therapy and self-healing.
